Several months ago, a constituent came into our office with her accountant looking for assistance with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The IRS had been giving her and her accountant the run around for quite some time, and with no options left to exercise, she turned to our office for help.
Although this constituent was still receiving social security payments, she had not received tax refunds from 2019 or 2020 or any COVID-19 stimulus checks because the IRS considered her to be deceased.

A Staten Island resident recently contacted my office for assistance with finding his aunt, an elderly American citizen living in Zacatecas, Zacatecas Mexico for several years, who had recently become unreachable.
