Malliotakis Helps Local School Recover $158k from Department of Education

My office recently helped a private school in our district serving children with special needs recover $158,800 owed to them by the Department of Education for reimbursement.

Under the law, the city is responsible for reimbursing private schools for the tuition of special needs children that require an individual education plan (IEP) that cannot be provided at a public school.

We are happy to help this school get the money they are owed for providing these services.
