Malliotakis Helps Constituents Secure Thousands in Owed Money For Hurricane Sandy Repairs

A few months ago, constituents came to my office looking for assistance with claiming money owed to them from their bank after their home was devastated after Hurricane Sandy. They spent $17,500 to repair the damages, but the bank withheld the funds from them despite the constituents showing proof of repair. 

To the constituents' knowledge, there was no reason for the bank to be withholding the funds. The constituents' gave our office permission to speak with their bank on their behalf, and last month they finally received the full amount they were owed after seven years of waiting.
