Malliotakis Helps Local Veteran Receive Years of Pension Payments after Fraud Alert

Several weeks ago, a local veteran contacted my office looking for assistance with receiving thousands of dollars in pension checks from the U.S. Military.

Two years ago, a fraud alert was placed on his bank account which stopped him from receiving his pension payments. The veteran opened a new bank account, however, his pension checks were still not being deposited. He then turned to our office for help.

My office immediately reached out to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) on this veteran's behalf. Within a matter of days, my office was able to secure this veteran the over $19,000 in back pension he was owed and ensure all payments would be deposited into his account going forward.
