(WASHINGTON, DC) - Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) last night led Freshmen Republican colleagues in a press conference railing against House Democrats' "COVID Relief Bill," their flawed legislative process and limited debate.

(WASHINGTON, DC) - Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) today introduced her first bill, H.R.1356, the Resident Toll Commuter Relief Act, legislation that requires the extra revenue generated by moving from one-way tolling to two-way tolling, to be used to lower tolls or fund rebates and credits for individuals residing on landmasses on either side of the bridge. Applicable to the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, this would provide a reduced toll to the residents of Staten Island and Brooklyn.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Rep. Nicole Malliotakis said she looks forward to assisting in bringing accountability, transparency and oversight of COVID-19 relief in her appointment to the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis.

Malliotakis (R-Staten Island/South Brooklyn) was the only freshman member of congress appointed to the subcommittee.

As a new Member of Congress, President Biden’s current $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package puts me in a quandary. While there are many components of the bill that I support, like providing aid to restaurants and small businesses that were mandated to close and providing assistance for the unemployed, and returning taxpayer money to citizens in the form of a “stimulus” check, it is in no way tailored to the specific needs of our nation or its struggling citizens.

(WASHINGTON, DC) - Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) yesterday was the only Freshman Member of Congress named to the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, which is responsible for examining a number of issues related to the coronavirus crisis, including the use of taxpayer funds for relief programs and the economic impact of the pandemic on individuals, communities, small businesses, health care providers, States, and local government entities.

(WASHINGTON, DC) - Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) yesterday sent letters to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo calling on both officials, who are expected to receive $50 billion in federal aid from President Biden's COVID-relief package, to commit to stopping planned increases in tolls, personal income and property taxes.

Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis, R-N.Y., told "America’s Newsroom" on Tuesday that she believes either by "resignation, prosecution or next year at the ballot box," Gov. Andrew Cuomo's "days are finished." 

She noted that "thousands of New Yorkers" have gone to her website to sign a petition calling for the resignation of the Democratic governor.
