Malliotakis Secures Pop-Up Vaccine Clinic on South Shore

March 19, 2021

(WASHINGTON, DC) - Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) today announced a partnership with Costco Pharmacy and Angelina's Ristorante to open a pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Staten Island.

“I want to thank Costco for helping us get a pop-up vaccine clinic on the South Shore, which until now has been underserved compared to other parts of the Island,” said Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis. “We appreciate Angelina's hosting this event that will bring 360 vaccines to eligible Staten Islanders. We hope this pop-up site is one of many as we continue to work to expand vaccine distribution in our community through the federal retail pharmacy partnership.”

The pop-up vaccine clinic will be held on Wednesday, March 24, at Angelina's Ristorante, 399 Ellis St., from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The clinic will be held for 360 residents by appointment only.

“Angelina’s Family is proud to partner with Costco and Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis to make the Johnson & Johnson vaccine available to our community during this critical time,” said Vincent Malerba, Co-Owner of Angelina's Ristorante.

Appointments can be made at https://www.costco.com/covid-vaccine.html starting at approximately 5 p.m. EDT, Friday, March 19.

To be eligible to receive an appointment, residents will be required to show proof of Island residency and also meet one of the following criteria:

  • Age 60 and older
  • Teachers and staff for the following:
  • Pre-kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Childcare center employees and family childcare providers
  • Head Start and Early Head Start
  • · Individuals younger than 60 with comorbid or underlying conditions

Appointments will be canceled for residents who schedule an appointment and do not meet the eligibility criteria listed above.

“Costco pharmacy is currently offering Covid-19 vaccine at all five of our New York City locations,” Costco Pharmacy said in a statement. “We are excited to provide an additional community COVID vaccine clinic specifically for our Staten Island residents. Costco is honored to do our part to support our neighbors in this unprecedented time and help our communities navigate through this public health emergency. We wish to thank Angelina's restaurant for providing us space for the clinic. We kindly ask that you do not contact the restaurant for information.”
