She said that they spoke about the ongoing humanitarian crisis at the nation’s southern border, and plans for addressing the nation’s infrastructure needs.

“I urged him to go to the border, to see what I saw, to hear what I heard,” Malliotakis (R-Staten Island/South Brooklyn) said. “This is something that is affecting the entire nation.”

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Rep. Nicole Malliotakis will attend President Joe Biden’s first joint congressional address on Wednesday, the congresswoman told the Advance/SILive.com.

Malliotakis (R-Staten Island/South Brooklyn) said she is “honored” to have been invited to the event. Invitations to the event are limited due to coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions.

Biden’s Joint Session of Congress address will take place on Wednesday, April 28, at 9 p.m.

Prostitution has been illegal in New York City since the Dutch walked the streets of then-New Amsterdam in the 17th- century, but on Wednesday Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance announced he will no longer prosecute prostitution cases. 

Vance, a Democrat, said in a statement Wednesday that "criminally prosecuting prostitution does not make us safer."
