Last Friday, our office received a call regarding a U.S. citizen being detained in Lebanon. The constituent has dual citizenship and had traveled to Israel on a holy trip. Upon attempting to leave Lebanon to return home, authorities confiscated all her paperwork and cell phone. Adding to the situation, her ill husband had returned home alone and tragically passed away.
