(WASHINGTON, DC) - Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11) today released the following statement encouraging local veterans to get vaccinated:

"I encourage veterans who are eligible and desire the vaccine to contact the Brooklyn VA Medical Center (VAMC) to schedule an appointment to be immunized as soon as possible. The faster our community can be immunized, the faster we can reopen our economy and get our residents back to work.

Nicole Malliotakis, who won a tough race to become New York City’s sole Republican in Congress, intends to be an outspoken voice against AOC and her friends in the Democratic Party’s progressive wing. The 40-year-old from Staten Island is well-known to the Orthodox Jewish establishment from her decade serving in the state Assembly and her 2017 run for mayor of New York.

I want to take this opportunity to respond to Executive Editor Brian Laline’s January 8 Editorial about my votes to object to Arizona and Pennsylvania’s electors for the 2020 Presidential Election.

First, this process is not new. In fact, Democrats have objected to electoral votes of every elected Republican President since 1989.
