Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH) administrators walked Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island/South Brooklyn) through their new Gruppuso Integrated Women and Newborn Center, for which she secured $2 million in federal funding, on Monday.
SIUH will utilize the funding to finish building the center, which will include 10 labor, delivery and recovery rooms; three operating rooms; 37 maternity beds; and 12 nursery bassinets. Construction of the center is expected to be completed next year.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. --- The Notre Dame Club of Staten Island were the recipients of a 10,000 pound donation from Goya Food as part of the group’s 31st Annual Bread of Life Food Drive (BOLD).
The donations will benefit 25 food pantries across Staten Island as well as the Bay Ridge Community Center.
