Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island/Brooklyn) was one of the first local officials to point to a federal court decision in Jan. 2021 against a similar operation in Philadelphia in a case that the Department of Justice (DOJ) brought under former President Donald Trump.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — President Joe Biden visited New York City Thursday to talk gun violence, but before he arrived some Republican officials, including two Staten Island politicians, took the opportunity to criticize Democratic policies.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island/South Brooklyn) and City Council Minority Leader Joe Borelli (R-South Shore) joined New York Republican Party Chairman Nick Langworthy on the 12 p.m. call.

Last week Rolling Thunder reached out to my office regarding a WWII veteran who had recently passed away with no documentation of his military service. 

Rolling Thunder connected my office with this veteran's family, and we were able to find his military records in 2 days. Because of this, the veteran was able to receive full military honors at his funeral over the weekend.
