Iran announced sanctions on dozens of Americans over the weekend, including Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island/South Brooklyn).

The sanctions on Malliotakis and 60 other Americans followed the congresswoman’s participation in the Free Iran Summit put on by the Organization of Iranian American Communities, which is opposed to the Iranian government that took control of the country following the 1979 revolution.

My office recently helped a constituent recover more than two thousand dollars from the IRS in a case for his missing 2021 tax return. 

Caught in bureaucratic red tape after submitting his return, my constituent complied with all IRS requests and found himself no closer to receiving the money he was owed. Finally, he turned to my office for help. My staff got in touch with IRS agents to push his return through the system, avoiding useless back and forth and delivering the $2,019 return.
