STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Discussing mutual security concerns and strengthening alliances were integral in the U.S. congressional delegation’s (CODEL) trip to the Middle East last week.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis was part of the bipartisan CODEL that visited government officials in Israel, Palestine, and Qatar to build on diplomatic relations and discuss their common security interests in the region.

As the situation in Cuba grows more dire by the day, Cuban American Rep. Nicole Malliotakis is calling on the United States government to act.

This was the second trip to Israel for the Congressional freshman, who represents Staten Island and Bay Ridge, having previously visited as an Assemblywoman in 2019 with the National Council of Young Israel. This trip included meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Defense Minister Benny Gantz and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid; and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
