McCarthy, Malliotakis & Members of Leader's Advisory Team on Cuba Request Meeting with Biden, Attend Rally Outside White House
(WASHINGTON, DC) - Today, Leader McCarthy, Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11), and other members of the Leader’s Advisory Team on Cuba, sent a letter to the Biden Administration requesting a meeting to discuss how the White House and Congress can work together to end the “oppressive regime in Havana and liberate the Cuban people.”
“This is a moment when the United States can change the course of human history for the better," the members wrote. "The United States is a bastion of freedom and democracy; a beacon across the globe for those seeking to toss away their shackles of communist oppression. We must support our Cuban brothers and sisters as they seek to take control of their future and liberate themselves from the communist malignancy.”

Today Malliotakis also joined her Cuban-American and freedom-loving colleagues, Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart, Carlos Gimenez, Maria Elvira Salazar, Victoria Spartz, Michael McCaul, Michael Waltz, Dan Crenshaw, and Senator Rick Scott at the White House where she called on President Biden to do more as leader of the free world to help liberate the Cuban people.
“As the daughter of a Cuban refugee, I was proud to join members of the Cuban-American community outside of the White House this afternoon to continue to push the Biden Administration to help liberate the Cuban people,” said Malliotakis. “The Cuban people have had enough of the communist regime; they want liberty, and they want freedom. America is the nation of freedom and opportunity - the beacon of hope around the world. We want the United States, the United Nations, and all democracies around the world to join the Cuban people in their quest for freedom, democracy, and basic human rights."
