Malliotakis Helps Constituent Reunite with Wife, One Year Old Son

Constituent Services

Last week, my office helped to reunite a family and solve an immigration case that had been caught up in bureaucracy & red tape for years.

A constituent of mine filed an I-130 application with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in July of 2020 to bring his pregnant wife to the United States. In March of 2021, his wife gave birth, and his newborn son was struggling with health problems.

By September, his immigration case was still unresolved, so he reached out to my office for help expediting his application. After contacting USCIS on my constituent’s behalf, my office pushed the National Visa Center to get his wife an interview at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan. His wife’s visa was recently issued and he will now be able to bring his family to the U.S., and, for the first time, meet his 1-year-old son!
