Malliotakis Helps Constituent Get Streetlight Installation Request Approved

Our office recently helped a constituent regarding the need for a streetlight at the corner of Richmond Road and Cranford Avenue on Staten Island. The constituent expressed concerns about safety and visibility in the area, especially during evening hours.

Our office quickly contacted the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Staten Island Borough Commissioner with this constituent's concerns, and they agreed to have their Street Light Engineering team conduct a Lighting Survey to further investigate the specified location. 

Within a few weeks, DOT approved the request for additional lighting at the corner and has added the light to a future installation schedule to prevent dangerous accidents in the future.
