Malliotakis Statement on Biden Impeachment Inquiry

(WASHINGTON, DC) - Today Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis issued the following statement regarding House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's announcement that the U.S. House of Representatives will open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden over his family's shady business dealings.
"The Judiciary, Oversight, and Ways and Means Committees have reviewed emails, bank records, and whistleblower testimony that document an influence-peddling scheme involving not only the President's son, but President Biden himself. Multiple shell companies were created, some during the Biden Vice Presidency, that were used to transfer $20 million from foreign entities in China, Romania, and Ukraine to the Biden family. Furthermore, Biden Administration officials thwarted investigations by instructing law enforcement agencies to handle the Biden family affairs differently than they would the general public. These facts warrant further investigation, and I will continue my work on the Ways and Means Committee to provide truth, transparency, and accountability for the American people."
