Now We’re Talking: GOP Rep Moves To Expel Jamaal ‘The Fire Alarm Guy’ Bowman From Congress

Now we’re talking!
Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) is already moving to draft a resolution to have Congressman Jamaal “The Fire Alarm Guy” Bowman (D-NY) expelled from the House of Representatives after he pulled a fire alarm at the Cannon House Office Building ahead of a motion to adjourn on Saturday.
Bowman claims it was a mistake. He said he thought that pulling the alarm would open the door.
Malliotakis isn’t having it.
“Rep. Malliotakis (R-NY) is drafting a resolution to have Rep. Bowman expelled, her spox Natalie Baldassarre tells me,” POLITICO’s Olivia Beavers tweeted.
“This is the United States Congress, not a New York City high school,” Malliotakis also tweeted. “This action warrants expulsion & I’m introducing a resolution to do just that.”
All of this calls into question Bowman’s IQ. He’s pictured pulling the alarm, admitted to doing so, and is a former middle school principal.
His defense is that he’s too dumb to know that pulling a fire alarm would trigger a fire alarm.
The more likely explanation is that he thinks you’re too dumb to not believe him, and that he feels confident he won’t face any discipline for allegedly breaking multiple laws.
As commentator Mary Katherine Ham put it, “He’s on camera and they don’t say it was unintentional. They said he didn’t understand what intentionally pulling an alarm, as he’s pictured doing, would do. Charge him.”
